Express bio of Tom Frager

Tom Frager is known as one of the most successful surfers of his generation, but he is also an accomplished musician:

Her second album, Better Days, released in 2009, sold over 150,000 copies, and was boosted by the success of the single “Lady Melody”, the most widely played song on radio and TV in France in 2009 and 2010, selling over 300,000 copies.

Since then, Tom has performed and toured in France, Switzerland, Australia, Ivory Coast, Senegal, New Caledonia, Reunion Island, Guadeloupe, Mauritius ...

After a childhood spent in Africa, between Dakar in Senegal and Bamako in Mali, it was in Guadeloupe that Tom developed his passion for surfing.

Best Memories of Surfing

There are many of my best surfing memories, as the waves are regular and offer great sessions. I have a particular affection for the spot known as «Killer Point». A long, taut, hollow right-hander that reminds me of the coral reefs on the islands.

But whether it's at «La pointe», «Mistery» or any of the other spots along the coast... there's always great surfing, for both experienced surfers and those just learning to surf!

The climate is exceptional, and when it's freezing in Europe, a 3-hour flight will have you in the sun in water that's almost 10 degrees warmer, with over 300 days of sunshine a year. It's the ideal escape in the middle of winter to get away to the sun at super-affordable rates!

When I come to surf camp, it's always a pleasure to meet the trainees, share their surfing experience and give them a few tips to boost their progress. I take the time to get in the water with them, and when we watch the images on the big screen in the evening, everyone can make a comment, and it's in an atmosphere of fun and conviviality that we discuss the waves surfed during the day!

Killer Point

Facing a cliff, the killer point spot, named after killer whales, offers a long tubular right. Always bigger than it looks from the cliffs, the spot also offers a left at low tide that fades as the tide rises, giving way to a long right over several sections. Access to the lineup at low tide is easy by skirting the cliffs, but once the tide starts to rise, access becomes exclusively by rowing a hundred meters or so. .
